We Try Harder!
We are very pleased to announce that DIVERSANT's CEO Gene Waddy was selected as an Executive of the Year finalist by NJ BIZ's judging panel for its 2011 Top Business Leaders Awards. Thank you to all of those who lent their support to this nomination!
Speaking of which…
2012 is already shaping up to be a busy year for our CEO Gene Waddy's speaking engagements. At the ISM's 9th Annual Black Executive Supply Management Summit in Dallas this coming February Gene will be participating in an executive panel on the importance of supplier diversity. In April, look for Gene at DiversityBusiness.com's 12th annual National Business Conference to be held in Mashantucket, CT. We'll post additional updates on these and other events in the coming weeks and months.

More Accolades!

A Gala Event
DIVERSANT was well-represented at the NMSDC Conference in Atlanta this year. In attendance were Gene Waddy, Tony Marolda, Stephanie Thompson, and Miner Smith. Described by Gene as the "Super Bowl of supplier diversity," the theme of this year's event was Minority Businesses and Corporate America: Raising the Bar through Sustainable Strategies. CBC Job Fair — Part 3 (with pictures)
By some estimates 20,000 job-seekers attended the CBC's For the People Jobs Initiative in Los Angeles last month where DIVERSANT participated as a "favored firm." Among the many people we had the privilege to meet with were Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Dean of the CBC John Conyers, and the venerable Reverend Jesse Jackson (click links for images).

CBC Job Fair
DIVERSANT is honored to have been asked to participate in the Congressional Black Caucus's job fair finale in Maxine Waters' home district of Los Angeles. The event will be held at the Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles on August 30th and 31st. DIVERSANT's CEO Gene Waddy will be in attendance and we'll have a booth staffed by a senior technical recruiter to take résumés and answer questions about our job opportunities for IT professionals. Mr. Waddy Goes to Washington
Gene Waddy, along with Tony Marolda, Michael Isaacman, and Gregory Boquist were privileged to attend the "Economic STEMulus: Promoting Diversity and Excellence in the Future of American Innovation and Competitiveness" roundtable hosted by Congresswoman Maxine Waters in Washington. They participated in a lively conversation with representatives from some of the nation's leading technology companies, university professors, and organizations representing women and minority engineers. Executives from DIVERSANT will be participating in this high-profile conference which will focus on what the private and public sectors can do to help small businesses expand and create jobs.
