As we kick off the celebration of African-American History Month, we would like to also share with you the latest Hiring Report. The month of February showed 200,000 jobs added according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report. Unemployment is remains at 4.1%. The industries that added the most jobs include Education and Health Services (38,000), Construction (36,000), Leisure and Hospitality (35,000), and Professional and Business Services (23,000). Job losses were in Information -(6,000) and Utilities -(1,000).
Tech skill of the month is Information Security Analyst with 209,147 job postings. Career Builder reports an estimated 12,250 candidates who are actively seeking an opportunity in this area.
