Celebrating Nicole Cicero, Senior Business Development Director.
During Women’s History Month, we are thrilled to recognize Nicole Cicero, our Senior Business Development Director, as a woman leading the way as a sales leader in the business world. In the interview summary below, Nicole Cicero shares how she rose through the ranks in the technology staffing industry and how she finds work-life balance as a mother of two elementary children.

Nicole Cicero, Her Story
D: Nicole, you have been nominated as a true leader here at DIVERSANT. As one of our top performing sales leaders, you have also earned the distinguished recognition as our Achievers Club Million Dollar Member each year. What inspires you to achieve such greatness?
NC: Once again, I am humbled to be nominated by my peers and colleagues at DIVERSANT as a leader. Women have come a long way in business today as respected contributors and I am honored to be recognized as such. I am constantly inspired and motivated by woman leaders in all industries to become a better professional, a better colleague, a better friend, and in general, a better human.
D: How have you grown with the company?
NC: I was recruited via LinkedIn by a former executive at DIVERSANT who ironically was my top competitor for six (6) years at one of my clients. We continuously ran into each other onsite and always had mutual respect for each other’s business – and so here I landed.
I typically have a head down approach in my work, always with goals ahead, but look up when there are areas that interest me like; mentoring, training, creative thinking, strategy, market intelligence, and process improvement. At DIVERSANT, I’ve had the opportunity to inspire others, mentor, train, and provide creative thinking leveraging my 24 years in the business. DIVERSANT is soaring as a firm and, most fortunately, I am growing with them.
D: How do you balance work-life and home/family?
NC: As a working mother of two elementary children (at the young age of 47!), work/life balance has its moments. What gives? NEITHER! While I am the top contributor at DIVERSANT for years (and I work A LOT), I make it my mission to be present in my children’s lives and remain active in their school and our community. I am the PTA’s 1st Vice President, responsible for fundraising (unsurprisingly), which is a very active and exceedingly contributory role on the Board. It’s my equal mission of attainment that carries through professionally and personally. It’s important for me that my children see this passion and understand that balance is possible as long as you have your priorities straight, goals identified, and a real drive for universal accomplishment and personal fulfillment.
D: Tell us how did you find your voice in the business world as a female?
NC: Even after 20+ years I am not quite there yet…meaning, there is more for me to do, accomplish, and to raise my voice to. I do feel empowered by my successes and the recognition but lead with my personal growth that has given me that confidence to speak up when it’s time.
