Somashish Roy Delivers Excellent IT Support on Mission Critical Projects
Somashish Roy started his career with DIVERSANT in 2015 as an IT consultant. Over the years, he has supported several of our largest clients in the banking and financial services industry. Somashish brings a wealth of knowledge to our IT consultant team as a senior program manager. This role requires a confident and well-organized communicator who can develop key relationships and liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure project success. Somashish has these skills and more which is why he continues to receive great reviews from our clients. We are thrilled to recognize Somashish for the second time in our Consultant Spotlight program.
We invited Somashish to share what motivates him and what exciting project he is currently working on as an IT consultant. Check out his story below.
Q&A with Somashish Roy
In the interview session below, Somashish shares how he landed a career in IT and details of a fun childhood hobby that has continued into his adulthood.
D: What made you want to pursue a career in information technology?
SR: As a kid in school I was fascinated by new technologies and the benefits of computers used in various industries. In high school, I learned coding and created mini-projects. Later I got a chance to do engineering in computer science. After completing my engineering degree, I got an offer from a reputable multinational company to pursue my career in software engineering and IT.
D: What exciting project are you working on?
SR: Currently I am working in the Consumer and Home Lending organization within Wells Fargo. A couple of exciting projects I have been working on are in the area of Home Mortgage Forbearance for COVID impacted customers, and launching brand new Credit Cards in 2021 and 2022.
D: What is one fun fact about yourself?
SR: I like collecting coins from different countries. It was my childhood hobby that I still continue to do.
D: What is your favorite motivational quote, and why?
SR: “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt. I think a person can be successful when he believes that he can do it.
D: Share one statement about your experience at DIVERSANT.
SR: I have been working with DIVERSANT since 2015 as IT Consultant. I am very happy working with all the staff in various departments within DIVERSANT who are very professional, helpful, and friendly, even senior management is very approachable.
